"Lady"
Misheard Lyrics: Ladies!
Original Lyrics: Lady

Story about this misheard lyric by: Adam Dobay I was travelling by train from Szombathely to Budapest in Hungary when this song was peaking the charts in Europe. I was sitting in an almost deserted wagon with a group of about twenty year-old girls who happened to travel with a large boom box, playing one song, Modjo's 'Lady', over and over again. They didn't know the lyrics even after listening to the song a hundred times. They only shouted one word when the refrain started: 'LADIES!' I pondered on whether I should tell them that the word is 'lady', not 'ladies', but I didn't after seeing the amount of amusement the singing caused in the other passengers. |
