Poco was originally called Pogo after the Walt Kelly cartoon. However he didn't like the band using the name so he filed an injunction against them using it. Sence they had built up a good following in the LA area, it was decided that rather than change the name, they would merely take the -off the G and made it a C thus you have Poco!
