Band Name Origins:
- When the unnamed band sent their first demo tape to the Warner Brothers label, it was returned and addressed to "Residents" at their address. Submitted by: Bill M.
- The band sent an anonymous demo tape to an executive at Warner Brothers in 1972, hoping for a recording contract. The tape was returned later by mail, addressed to "The Residents" at the return address. Hence, a band was born! Submitted by: Agrimorfee
