Story about this misheard lyric by: martinet

I usually sniff at those who submit a misheard lyric that's actually the song's title (can't they READ?) but I admit I'm guilty of this one. I heard the song on "Gilmore Girls" so I never saw the song on the album, heard it referred to, etc. Took a little bit of Googling to figure it out, since "celibate homeboy" just wasn't showing up!

Repetitive Song Lyrics:

"Your Call Is Very Important To Us... Please Hold"
The Repetitive Lyrics:
At first she said
'Your call is very important to us'
And then she said
'Please hold, please hold'
Then she said
'Your call is very important to us'
Why They're Repetitive:
These lines make up much of the 4:11 that this song lasts for, in exactly the same tone, voice etc. It's even more annoying than the real thing!!
Submitted by: Will Garner
"I Predict"
The Repetitive Lyrics:
And this song will fade out
And this song will fade out
And this song will fade out now.
Why They're Repetitive:
The song never fades out, it ends abruptly. The Mael brothers got out of the psychic business after that.

Songs That Are Banned:

"Girl From Germany"
Banned by some US radio stations in 1972 due to Hitler references, despite being a song decrying postwar Germanophobia.
Submitted by: Horatio
"I Predict"
Video initially banned by MTV due to concerns that the Hitlerian Ron Mael performing a drag striptease was too disturbing.
Submitted by: Horatio
"Dick Around"
Banned from daytime airplay by BBC Radio London because of the title. There is no sexually explicit content in the song, "dick" here being an American term which loosely means "goofing off".
