Band Name Origins:
- The group came up with the name as a reference to the "number of the beast" 666 in keeping with their image as a horrorcore rap collective. Submitted by: Joe Barbaro
- They changed their name from "Triple 6 Mafia", which was what they called themselves while they were still underground and non-mainstream and they got this name from 6-6-6, to "Three 6 Mafia". And in some songs there are even lyrics about the Devil and 666. Submitted by: Dunc Nasty
