Story about this misheard lyric by: Jeffrey Kasten The original lyrics to this, sung by LeAnn Rimes, are nothing great. But when sung by Trenyce (aka Lashundra Collins) during the second season of American Idol, they became hilarious. Trenyce's pronunciation was never her strong point, but she butchered this song completely. The misheard lyrics later took on a life of their own, as a story title posted in an American Idol discussion group. It took me years to find out what the real lyrics were. |
