This misheard lyric has since become a minor legend. At the last VNV Nation London show, people threw frozen peas onto stage when this song was sung! A few months later, an article on the London 'cybergoth' culture in the London Evening Standard misprinted the band name as 'VMP Nation'. By the following summer, VMP T-shirts were in circulation, complete with pea motif and the misheard lyric in question.
