The Real Lyrics:

I'm at a payphone trying to call home.
All of my change I spent on you.

The Story: I just thought he was talking about the signal bars indicated on his smartphone, which ran out. Thus, he ended up using up all of his quarters to use a payphone to call his loved one. - Submitted by: Ronnlee Morris
