The Story: The song was on a mix tape we were listening to on a spring break trip. We kept listening to it over and over. Every time I grew more convinced that it was really '... big fat butt'. Finally I asked my travel companions if that was what they were saying, which resulted in an eruption of laughter. - Submitted by: Justin Smith

The Misheard Lyrics:

I love it when you call me David Copperfunk.

The Real Lyrics:

I love it when you call me Big Poppa.

The Story: Some friends and I were out bar hopping one night. We stopped at this bar and got on the dance floor and big poppa came on. Later on in the night my buddy Josh was singing and out came " I love it when you call me David Copperfunk." I still don't understand how he confused that so bad. - Submitted by: Ricky Peyton

The Misheard Lyrics:

I run from no one, they walk from me

The Real Lyrics:

I don't know what they want from me

The Story: When this song was popular on the radio, I sang this wrong for over a year. I had even quoted that in my yearbook: 'I run from no one, they walk from me.' Turns out, that line wasn't even in the song - or any other song for that matter. A friend asked me where this line was from, and soon I discovered I was way off. But everyone I talk to agrees this is a more meaningful line! - Submitted by: Kevin Mathews
