Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody.
For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.
This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.
Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not
by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see
misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and
misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

Come into my fatso.
Come into my planet soul.
The Story: I brought the song to work with me to see if my co-worker 'Enrique' (his name has been changed to protect the innocent) understood the lyrics. He thought it was come into my fat so as a joke. He also thought plateau too. - Submitted by: sharon
Come into my glass home
Come into my Planet Soul
The Story: Well a year or two ago my mom was playing this song and that slow part at the end caught my attention for some reason. The other day I was humming it in school and ths kid's like, 'What's with that song anyway? Come into my glass home?' And then he just keeps talking like, 'I wonder what it would be like if you had to live in a glass home. It would be a pretty bad childhood, you can't even play baseball in the back without breaking anything, and how are you going to take a shower? You'll be like 'Hey this is for real, this ain't no show.....stop looking at me like that!' I was just too busy laughing my ass off to tell him the real words. - Submitted by: Someone who isn't Nick
Such a freak, Such a freak
Set you free, Set you free
The Story: I decided to get my mother more 'hip' by playing some dance music for her. She loved this song, and asked for a copy of it. The next time that I was at her house I walked into the room with her dancing around the kitchen with a mop and yelling 'SUCH A FREAK! SUCH A FREEEEEEAK!' at the top of her lungs while the stereo blasted in the background. I have never laughed so hard in all my life. - Submitted by: Stacey
