Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody.
For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.
This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.
Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not
by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see
misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and
misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

Left me, left me.
Say that you left me.
Need me, need me.
Just say that you need me.
I don't care that anything but you.
Love me, love me.
Say that you love me.
Leave me, leave me.
Just say that you need me.
I can't care 'bout anything but you.
The Story: It sounding like the next generation of Dan Byrd's lyrics and music of his song "Boulevard" that Dan Byrd say the similar line of this song in choruses: "When you left me on that boulevard." About this song: "Lovefool" was written for its third studio album, "First Band on the Moon", released on 12 August 1996. It was released as the album's lead single on 14 September 1996 in the UK and on 5 October 1996 internationally and became their first international hit single, entering the UK Singles Chart (reaching #2), some other European charts, New Zealand chart (topping), then was certified Gold in Australia, and later topping the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay (but unfortunately for their fans that "Lovefool" did not chart on Billboard's Pop Chart because at the time singles not made commercially available in that country). But "Lovefool" still their best remembering song and also my favorite song of all time and this could be the highest position if their fans wanna be happy to see their band on my list. - Submitted by: Wisnu Aji
