So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

The Story: I'd never heard this song until I got a CD entitled 'British Invasion Vol. 7'. While playing it, this song came on and when that line grabbed my ears, all I could hear was the above misheard version. I thought, 'What, did they really sing such lyrics back in the 60s? No way, I thought. Listening to the song over again clarified little if anything, except that if that line was as i heard it, it was totally 'out of the spirit' of the rest of the song, which focuses on dainty fairytale images. So I searched for the lyrics on the web. It wasn't a particularly easy search. First I found two songs named 'Pamela' but both completely different from this one. Finally I found lyrics to obviously the same song, but cited as 'Sparks lyrics', not 'Wayne Fontana lyrics'. They made it clear that Wayne Fontana's song on my cd is the same song, and completely solved the mystery of that line, albeit a line that invites mishearing in any event. So I feel entirely secure in citing it as Wayne Fontana's song. That's how I should cite it, since his is the version that I've heard. - Submitted by: Ashley Michelle McGowan
