We had it all (we had it all) Just like Bogie and Bacall Starring in our old late, late show Sailing away to Key Largo
"Key Largo" was a #8 pop hit for Florida country artist, Bertie Higgins back in the spring of 1982. It's one of many songs from Higgins that has place names in the songs. "Key Largo" has both in the title and the choruses a shoutout to Florida's Key Largo which was also the title of a movie starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. Bertie Higgins also got an invitation and sang on the CBS daytime drama "Guiding Light" (as himself) the tune, "Key Largo" during the time in May 1982 that the show was featuring movie fantasy buff, Nola Reardon (played by Lisa Brown) and her soon to be husband, Quint McCord Chamberlain (played by Michael Tylo), and also featured Nola's brother Tony Reardon (played by Gregory Beecroft)'s disco, "Wired For Sound" (the writer of the show at the time, Doug Marland wrote that Higgins was the featured artist to sing at "Wired For Sound" one evening).
