The Lyrics

This parody is about the movie "The Invasion" staring Nicole Kidman, if you haven't seen the movie, it probably won't make a whole lot of sense to you. . .I'm at badave.com
Don't look at me, I'm no stoner
Though sometimes it seems I'm staring into space

Now it turns out that I'm a loner
Like a nomad I move on from place to place

But all those drinks that caffinate
And Yellow Jackets, splashing water on my face

It's the Invasion baby
They sneezed on me, they want my mind
I can't go to sleep lately
If I do I'll soon be of their kind
My eyes are getting baggy
But I'll bite my tongue to stay keen
Oops there's sweat, wipe before they see

Our race their controlling
And then nobody has emotions anymore

No-ones fighting, peace is slated
But still I can't let my body go

Ooooh nooooooooo

I feel like snoozing baby
But I'd no longer be mankind
Got the Virus baby
Invasion's got us running out of time
Wife's one of them baby
And now she's chasing after me
And tonight, no, I think I'll fall asleep

Do not let me doze
Don't wanna be a host
I cannot join them, but to fight them's getting tough

My eyes begin to close
I'm afraid that they've won
Here I go I've lost control of my own soul

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH

Here comes a helicopter
In movies they're always on time
Think that the cure is up there
They inject me and they free my mind
Was The Invasion, I swear
This virus has now been confined
So tonight the human race is free

Never seen the movie before, but movies parodies and Below Average Dave don't often combine and when they do you have to give them 5's. This was a lot like your "The Craft" parody, because I haven't seen either of those films... And you sure like horror movies don't you. The only genre of film you have covered was horror with "Friday the 13th" (I think, was that the movie "Don't Sleep" was about?) too.

I never saw the movie, but thought of a TV series called The Invaders where some space aliens invaded a small community. There was no action except when they died they vaporised - wow! If you saw one you saw them all.

Sir B+A+D, this is surreal & nice as always! Your poetry Sir, is always interesting; perhaps it could be printed as a written collection in a bound copy ?

Never heard of that movie. Is it something like Mars Attacks? Great song though.

Thanks Guys
Matty: You have got to see both this and The Craft, I never was a horror buff as a child (as I claim in BAD Disgrace) but of late, it's those movies that are striking ideas. . .this is more Sci-Fi as is the Craft than Horror, but they are both labeled "Sci-Fi Horror", Freddy is funny in his own way--that's why I liked him, he wasn't like Jason or Michael Myers who never said a word. . .

2Eagle, pretty much, in The Invasion, the aliens take over hosts using a virus, and unlike other movies these Aliens had no goal of killing those they take over--which was probably why I enjoyed it, I think I've seen a couple of episodes of The Invaders, the characters sound familiar (but as you said "saw one, you saw them all"

LCC: Never thought of that actually, although I suppose I certainly could--It'd be kinda neat to have something "by Below Average Dave" on a book of literature-will consider it

Dr Music: It has it's similarities, fan of TOS also, The Invasion used a common theme with the Alien take over thing--changed in it's method of how it took over (and honestly that part is gross) and unlike most Alien movies, the host bodies did not necessarily have to be killed, which is cool.

At the next AmIRight Convention, we are going to have to have a movie night so I can introduce my weird tastes to you guys, though this movie was actually a pretty big hit, The Craft wasn't too low on the radar either, but non-Sci-Fi buffs probably didn't go to it--odd because I'm not a huge Star Trek/Star Wars guy, but I'm drawn to those type of movies
