I disagree strongly with your assessment, but I love how you said it. Avril can write, play and (almost) sing, and would beat Britney or any of her clones in a fight with one tie tied behind her back. But this was funny. Too good for Canada? Yeah, Wayne tried that. (Gretzky and Mike Myers.) Georgie Bush thinks he's too good for Canada too. Guess he doesn't like French-speakers. I'll bet he doesn't like Avril either.

Comment to Michael: I have seen Avril play guitar once in any live performances. I guess her singing isn't too bad, when it comes to country music (any other type of music isn't for her voice), and the only reason her punk image is selling is because it's different from the Britney image. Since when have Teen-y boppers had a different teenage female role model than a pop star?

I agree w/ Michael - it waz a gr8 parody, but Avril IS talented, and not a poseur at all! Comment 2 Sarah: Just becuz some1 doezn't alwayz play live doezn't mean they can't! Oh yeah, Melissa, the only other thing I kinda have 2 say iz that there are already like 100 Sk8er Boi parodiez w/ the same theme. There'z nothing wrong w/ that, but sometimez it helpz 2 be more original! And i agree w/ TG that it'z @ least ONE of the best outta them, but i dunno - i haven't had time 2 read them all, lol.

no, she didn't destroy punk. true punks either don't know about her or don't give a damn. street punk is 100% different from her 100% pop, and it has a 100% different audience-most people are not crossovers. maybe a few people crossed over because they were fed up w/ the mainstream, and then became true punks, but most who cross over just become more elaborate posers than they were before.
