The Lyrics

The OS with the MV is just a repetitive beat and noisey sounds (no real lyrics), so I used the space to create an abridged history of the AK-47 rifle.

Sorry that this is mostly Milspeak with 14 guns refs and weapon history. The guns are:
- MKb-42(W) for Walther pre-production
- Mkb-42(H) for Haenel pre-production
- AK-1 and 2 were first prototypes using the adapted German "short" (kurz) round (more accurately an intermediate round from STG-44)
- STG-45 made by Mauser in 1945
- Mauser worked with Cetme to adapt the STG-45 into Cetme/ future Cetme-L rifles, then returned to W Germany as HK and rifle became improved G-3
- FAL was made by FN in powerful 7.62x51mm, adopted by Britain while US had to wait until Vietnam to get the M-16A-1 (used the M-14 previously post-WW2)
- Tantal for Poland, Galil was Israel adapted M-16/Ak hybrid, RSA R-4 derived from Galil, M80 was Yugoslavian variant- all were in 5.56x45mm, same as NATO
- AKX is new rifle in development from AK-115? prototype
- Nikonov An-94 official replacement for AK-47/74s, produced as budget allows
USSR started AK program in 1946, had working models by '47, and reached units by '49... most successful assault rifle in history with over 60 million produced. Mauser K98 is highest bolt-action rifle with over 20 million produced and action still used 116 years later!!!
