The Lyrics

An expedition of knowledge is afoot! Surely the leader in charge won't be a butt about it, would he? Enjoy
This world's uncharted, oh-oh dea-ea-ea-ea-ea-ea-ea-ea-ea-ear

This map needs some fillin', fillin', let's fill it, fill it
Needs fillin', fillin', let's fill it, fill it
Needs fillin', fillin', let's fill it, fill it
Needs fillin', fillin', let's fill it, fill it, let's

On this atlas, there's some missing bits
Did I say "some"? I lie, it ain't got shit
All these blank spaces are kind of a hindrance
So let's get a pen filled with ink and fill 'em in
Not from our imagination, that'd just be time wastin'
Let's get in a boat and do some genuine sailin'
We better peel out and head out to sea now
Whole new worlds to see now, don't lounge around
Dearth of knowledge surrounds us, pull your finger out
Our heading: North West East South

Ev'rybody (yeah), able bodies (yeah)
We need to move it (yeah), get movin' (come on)
This world's ours, it (come on) is uncharted (yeah), it needs chartin'
Let's get it charte-ed (ha), this world's uncharted, oh dear
Get this world charte-ed (ha), need complete charts up in here
Get boats departe-ed (ha), great lack of chartin', oh dear
Our world's uncharte-ed (ha), we'll get it charted, no fear
Yeah

Time to go, set sail in the boats
Fill in the maps, detailin' as you go
That mountain there? Draw it, just do it
That tiny beachfront? Sketch quick, don't lose it
Get chartin', must do 'em
Don't worry about the storms, just keep sketchin' through 'em
Ink runs? Get new paper, redo it
Hit by winds? Just draw and stop bitchin'
Dragon singed you? Don't be stupid
Your health's not as important as complete world knowledge i-is

Yo, sailin' bodies (yeah), keep on drawin' (yeah)
Don't whine, just do it (yeah), you douches (come on)
I need charts, it's (come on) real important (yeah-eah-eah) so keep chartin'
Let's get it charte-ed (ha), this world's uncharted, oh dear
Get our world charte-ed (ha), need finished charts up in here
All boats departe-ed (ha), sense lack of chartin', oh dear
This world's uncharte-ed (ha), you'll get it charted, don't fear
Yeah

The maps still need fillin', fillin', so fill it, fill it (c'mon y'all)
Needs fillin', fillin', so fill it, fill it, man
Are you newb crews? Uh-uh, don't want newb crews in here
Cause if you're newb crews, uh-huh, you might lose, crews, oh dear
Can't have that, newb crews, uh-uh, don't want newb crews in here
No, no, no junk, junk, junk, junk, junk, junk, junk
Junk, junk, junk, junk, junk, junk, junk, junk, junk

Made a deal: you all fill
In the maps detailed down to the last hill, but
What do I hear from you guys?
"Hard when our ships get wrecked all the time, sucks"
I don't care, you're just too whingey
Don't you give a crap about our country?
We're lackin' in knowledge
The other nations mock how our maps aren't filled, so
Do it now or all my efforts
Orderin' you will be wasted, yeah

I'm not on the (yeah) ships? That's nonsense (yeah)
Don't be so stupid (yeah), can't do it (come on)
I can't chart it (come on), to be honest, I'm no artist
So I can't chart i-it (ha), have to be honest in here
I'm a crap arti-ist (ha), check out my artwork, oh dear
And I'm your mona-arch (ha), I make the orders 'round here
So get to charti-in' (ha), I'll trust your chartin', don't fear (woah-ooh-woah-ooh-woah-oh-oh)

So you crews, uh-huh, be good crews, don't fear (yeah, yeah)
Don't be newb crews, uh-huh, no newb crews, that clear? (yeah, yeah)
I want all you crews, uh-huh (fill 'em, fill 'em, needs fillin', fillin', let's)
To do good, you hear? Don't want bad sketches, 'kay? (no, no, no) (fill 'em, fill 'em, needs fillin', fillin', let's)
Junk, junk, junk, junk, junk, junk, junk (fill 'em, fill 'em, needs fillin', fillin', let's)
Junk, junk, junk, junk, junk, junk, junk (fill 'em, fill 'em, needs fillin', fillin', let's)
Junk (fill 'em, fill 'em, needs fillin', fillin', let's)
Fill 'em, fill 'em, needs fillin', fillin', let's
Fill 'em, fill 'em

A complete and utter butt, it seems. At least he's being a butt for the sake of knowledge and not something like puppy-kicking. No-one should be that much of a butt.

Hard to follow the pace without a map (sorry, couldn't resist) but this was interresting and it had a flow activating waves, brainwaves that is, washing up on empty beaches (that'd would be my memory in this off the charts analogy). Truth is, I can't remember any previous parody on this theme, not in general terms anyway, maybe something about Columbus or the like, but that's specific, and I think you headed off into unknown territory here - almost always a good thing for a site this size and for rocking a blasé old coot such as myself.
