Parody Song Title:

"Mobster Mash"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Even funnier if sung with a thick mobster accent
I was working in da Joint early one night
When my guards beheld a terrible sight
A mobster from da East Side forced his way in
And suddenly to my chagrin, He did the mash!

He did the mobster mash
(The mobster mash)
It was a lakefront smash
(He did the mash)
He fired his gun in a flash
(He did the mash)
He did the mobster mash

From my hideout on Michigan Avenue
To the vault where I hide all da revenue
The thugs all came from da Joliet pen
To get a shot from my violin

They did the mash
They did the mobster mash
(The mobster mash)
It was a lakefront smash
(He did the mash)
They fired their guns in a flash
(He did the mash)
They did the mobster mash

The heavies were having fun
The shootout had just begun
The goons included John Gotti
Don Vito and his son

The streets were ablaze, all were firin' their rounds
Includin' da Boss, backed by his South Side hounds
The Italian mob were about to lose
When I made them an offer they couldn't refuse!

They played the mash
They played the mobster mash
(The monster mash)
It was a lakefront smash
(They played the mash)
They fired their guns in a flash
(They played the mash)
They played the mobster mash

Out from his jalope, Boss's voice did ring
Seems he was troubled by just one thing
He opened da trunk and shook his head
And said, "I thought dey made dese bullets outta lead!"

It's now the mash
It's now the mobster mash
(The mobster mash)
And it's a lakefront smash
(It's now the mash)
Guns goin' off in a flash
(It's now the mash)
It's now the mobster mash

Now everything's cool, Gotti's in da pen
And my mobsters now own all of da land
I tell Don Vito, go to da home o' dat man in blue
When you get to his door, tell him Scarface sent you

Then you can mash
Just do da mobster mash
(The mobster mash)
Just do da lakefront smash
(Then you can mash)
You'll get fired on in a flash
(Then you can mash)
Just do da mobster mash

Well done; disappointed you didn't work in "swim wit da fishes" though.

Very nicely done. You worked in the classic 'Godfather' line, and 'Don Vito and his son' was a really good play on the original song.

(Halloween '06) Cute. You could have said "He hid the stash, and did the Mobster Mash" ;)

(Halloween) That's a BRILLIANTLY clever send-up of the OS -- works perfectly with the original's tone & tune!

(Halloween) Great OS and parody. I did as you suggested, imagining this with a mob accent, and it came out really well. "...shot from my violin" was my fave line.
