The Lyrics

Just so you know, "Brad" means Brad Paisley, and "Cledus" means Cledus T. Judd. And I'm not really on CMT. The lyrics are just saying that it would be a great thing if that was the case. And in the last chorus, of course, I'm using the Spanish word for "goodbye."
These words are gonna be famous
Do I sing country? Well, no.
I don't need that type of music
Thanks to my comedy songs.
Can't wait to be another Weird Al.
Can't wait to make folks laugh.
What will Brad say to these lyrics?
Who cares if he gets mad?

Cause when I write a parody
It's hello to hilarity
Cledus says that I'm a fool
He probably thinks I'm cool
Just cause I'm so funny.
I can sing major hits
When I write the lyrics just how I like them.
If they say I've gone insane,
I'll blame it on my brain
And the hard work that it takes
Making up a parody.

I'll get a letter from my lawyer
When I have bills to pay
I'll hand the cash to the artists
No matter how much it takes.
I'll get my songwriters together
We'll write some funny stuff.
And the more my fans request me
The more my ranks go up.

Cause when I write a parody
It takes so much insanity
Nobody tries to sue
They just think it's cool
Cause I'm on CMT.

I'll make my songs reach number one
They'll stay up at the top spot for a month.
And when I make the grade
I'll thank it to my brain
Because it's just so tough
Thinking of a parody.

Let's crank up the buses
And head up town, to the place where comedy's done.
I'll be a smash songwriter, a first class millionaire
Hey, hey, nightclub, here I come!

Cause when I write a parody
It's Adios humanity
No matter what I do,
People think I'm cool
Cause I'm on CMT.
I can sing major hits
When I write the lyrics just how I like them.
Faith Hill says I'm insane.
It's really just my brain
And the thinking that goes with
Making up a parody.
Yeah, a parody!
"Where's my song?"

It's easy to get discouraged because hardly anyone votes on country parodies, but ya gotta remember that the real reason that you write them is for yourself, so keep writing the country ones, and I'll keep voting for them.
