The Lyrics

allllrrriiiggggggghhhhht

you say stop, but you know i can't
i'm stuck in this rant
i'm not trying to freak you out

seems so forced but i aint playin
just don't forget that its called turettes

hey got a crazy twitch but i take these pills to get rid of it
when i seem i'm talking to my self
a little halo peridol will level me out

shrugg it off i aint calling you names
jumpier than rain, spill my coffee every time
evil eye from across the room i'm not grillen you
just got an itchy face

chorus

doctor says, want it gone , want to be cured
you'll have to take these, take em all
then we'll talk
i'm twitchy and i scream out words like f*** me

5, 3, 4 - DKTOS, so I'm giving you a 5 for pacing, but I didn't think it was very funny.

SOTM...I've never been a fan of the "chorus" line in a parody...I'd much rather have you plunk down some new lyrics for each chorus. And...I really HATE the OS. So this one was hard for me. Sorry.

Made me think of the famous Nemi comic (famous here anyway) and the strips about a black metal band with a singer with Reversed Tourettes, every now and then he had this tic that interrupted the satanic songs and made him says things like "sunshine", "flowers" and "butterflies are beautiful" etc...

Peter: I don't know that comic, but I think I want to read it. That sounds pretty funny. As for this parody, I enjoyed it but I wish you varied the choruses because there's not much to work with in this song and that would have helped.

Well, I never heard this original either. What a delightful song! Seriously, your lyrics would've had to be really funny to be more entertaining than the original's. They were pretty good, though. Overall, not a lot to work with but not too bad.

thanks for the comments guys i know the chorus's need to vary but i'm trying to perform this one live and it just fits and in the last chorus i've noticed people singing along so i kinda have to keep it the same. some of the harder songs like the one i just put on about monty python have varying chorus's cause i probly wont perform but thanks again

I don't hate the original, not only chorus variation, but also proper formatting, It's always good to listen to OS before posting, as a see a typical lyric site thing, they put your verse after a chorus when it was actually between the typed out chorus, and your chorus placement. On this particular song, without varying chorus you don't have a whole lot to work with unfortunately. GREAT idea though, and the OS was fun.

I know what you mean about repeating a chorus when performing live: there are a few of mine that the amiright version has a varying chorus, but when doing it live, I just repeat the same words. Got a bit distracted with the Snoopy/Turtle video on youtube.. apart from that, didn't really find anything that stood out. But I can see how you could make a good performance of this, if you ham up the crazy twitch enough :-)

(SOTM) I can't recall ever seeing a parody about Tourette's before, so kudos for that. I agree with nearly everyone else with the fact that varied choruses may have helped. Keep up the good work!

SOTM: What everyone said about the chorus. And I agree 100% with Phil on repeating the chorus when singing live. I've done the same thing for my songs. I like the subject of the parody (Tourette's).
