The Lyrics

I guess never being there could be worse...original song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_vEIOKBD7s
All day, you're all around me
I think it's way too much

Don't think you're understanding
I don't love you as such

You tell me that you love me so
I tell you "I don't care"
Just give me space (crazy!)
Baby (You're always there)

Call my phone, such persistance
You need help, need some assistance
I hoped someday you'd dismiss me
But then you went and tried to kiss me

Always there
You're always there
You're always, always, always, always there
(Hey!)

You stood all night in my driveway
Do you have any shame? (Hey!)
Showed up at my work yesterday
Don't even know your name

You send me love songs everyday
You're such a crazy dame (Hey!)
You went through my trash yesterday
Why can't you go away?

You tell me that you love me so
I tell you "I don't care"
Just give me space (Crazy!)
Baby...

Don't know how you even know me
Can you tell me why you can't let go? Geez!
Get me off of this roller coaster
And get me the nearest restraining order

Always there
You're always there
You're always, always, always, always there

Always there
You're always there
You're always, always, always, always there
(Hey!)

SOTM 555 for the 411 on stalking!

Sometimes creepy can be good. In this case it is at least.

Inspired by that stalker chick on two and a half men perhaps?

Every time I go to amiright, this song is always there! Cool stalker song.

Great original song and a pretty good parody to boot. I love Cake and they aren't a band that gets done too often so they deserve a good parody.

(SOTM) I'm a sucker for parodies that flip the OS's topic around, so this gets mucho points from me. You did great with what little lines the OS had to offer. 555 for you!

Third song in a row that I can say "See TCOP" though this time, that's actually a really good thing--love flip parodies (Its why Rex Ungericht finds himself in my first place spot so often--that and he's just flippin' brilliant (seriously like Spaff.com brilliant)) Good job

As you note, not the worst possible problem, but it’s a humorous reversal, and you do develop the concept nicely. Dismiss me/kiss me: delicious rhyme!

This guy I used to work for was getting stalked, and this sound like some of the stories he'd tell us at work. Good one!

Simply funny reversal. I personally would have done "Need an restraining order/Hire someone to drop you at the border": .;)

I loved the reversal on this one. Some of the best parodies are just the inverse of the original singer's intention. Brilliant.

Thought I'd commented on this one before. Lots of good soundalikes and funny premise. Stuck to the original in a big way, but still very funny. Well done.

As I said about the craziness.

(Artistry) Woah, I read this one before? Twice? Completely slipped my mind. Still pretty good, but I think it needed a little extra push of over-the-top-ness, especially with John McCrea's lethargic delivery. Still 555 worthy, but not as good as I apparently originally thought, sorry to say.
