Parody Song Title:
"California"
The Lyrics
Stanza I.
I don't know what will soon be
Of all of Cal's extant sanity.
These last few years, there have been tears
Across the Golden State.
Now a Governator, he just cut the dough
From the state colleges, though they said "No!"
Soon they'll surely close the bridge
Across the Golden Gate.
Refrain.
Let me tell you, I hate Arnold
'Cos his reign's impossible to bear.
California ain't calling me
To make her my home;
And if I should e'er be a stranger
To the state which Governator holds,
California's a place you shouldn't know.
Stanza II.
Some folks have moved unto Arizona,
Idaho and to Oklahoma.
There's less risk of melanoma
Somewhere far from LA.
The desert's kissed the sprawl of the city;
Stolen wilderness sure ain't pretty
When it turns into suburbs, which I pity
For their car-based ways.
(Refrain)
Stanza III.
Now I've seen on TV budget troubles
Of Governator's tax-cut bubble.
The multibillion gap is the rubble
Of damage that he's done.
But I yet am thinking of all the folks
Who are oppressed by the Governator
Who's just one more bad Republican't
Who should have never won.
(Refrain)
