The Lyrics

This parody is written in honor of the fat day or two... or more... that I've been having lately. (The winter season in Ohio probably has something to do with why my fat-day count is increasing, too. That, and my occasional lack of physical motivation.)
Where is the chocolate when I need it most?
I snapped at a colleague, so my work is lost
My favorite work dress did not fit me
I lost my vintage purse by Fendi
I got turned away at Wendy’s

A barista told me that my favorite brew
Has run out this morning, but they are a-brew
So I order myself a cupcake
Eat it and then get a stomachache
So I pull over at the lake

Oh, I had a fat day
My body’s a mess
I don’t think I can blame it on PMS
‘Cause I finished my
Period last night
And I am still craving brownie bites tonight
In lieu of dinner
A sit-down dinner
A balanced dinner with fruits and vegetables
I had a fat day
I had a fat day

I wish I could go on holiday
But my boss would just laugh in my face
And say it wasn’t a sick day

I’m having fat days
My body’s a mess
And I surely can’t blame it on PMS
‘Cause I finished my
Period last night
And I am craving lots of junk food tonight
In lieu of dinner
A sit-down dinner
A balanced dinner with fruits and vegetables
I had a fat day

(Very fat day)

Sometimes I just wanna lie in bed
‘Cause the next morning I dread
Getting out of bed and taking on
The crazy day I have ahead
Ahead of me

So where is the chocolate when you need it the most?
(Any chocolate)
I snapped at a colleague, so my job is lost

Oh, thanks to my fat day
My body’s a mess
I certainly can’t blame it on PMS
‘Cause I finished my
Period last night
And I am craving chocolate ice cream tonight
In lieu of dinner
A sit-down dinner
A properly balanced dinner ‘cause
I had a fat day
I had a fat day

Had a fat day
Had a fat day
Had a fat day
Had a fat day
Had a fat day

Except for the PMS part, I could really identify with this one.

Sweet. I strive to entertain, yet write lyrics that people can identify with. =)

555!!! Same for me too, I can identify. With disease and inactivity it can really cause a weight gain and men over 30 it's hard to take off :(

Thanks! I'm a vegetarian who exercises a few days a week, but I still have some weight to lose, and it definitely gets harder to lose as you get older. I admit that my eating habits, although better than they were in my meat-eating days, have further room for improvement, but that doesn't stop the I-just-want-to-sleep-and-satisfy-my-sugar-craving days. It runs in the family, too. (The sugar cravings, not the vegetarianism.)
