The Lyrics

Following the Billy Slater version, the final game in State Of Origin resulted in an overwhelming victory to my home state of NSW but captured the icing on the cake in the career of Brad Fittler who has now retired on a high. This is a tribute to the bloke known as Freddy and encapsulates eloquenty the amazing and illustrious career that will never be surpassed.
Now that my career is over
The game is empty when I'm gone
I've fully realised my great achievements
By reflecting on all triumphs won
I look back and see
Now I truly believe

That I would score a try
In my final game
Of State Of Origin
It was the biggest highlight of all time
So then another player will get a chance to shine
Now that I scored a try
