The Lyrics

This song is about my fave marsupials of all time from Winnie the Pooh.
There once was a Mom Kanga's her name
She takes care of Roo Loves him just the same
She is so gentle, sweet and Kind
A better cooker like her you might find

1st chorus
"How long do you want to be loved?"
Kanga says to Roo with love.
"How long do you want to be loved?"
Kanga says with love
And she's never, never giving Roo up

Roo loves to hop around all day
With Tigger and Lumpy he's out to play
They always have so much to do
Until the playing day is through

(2nd chorus)
How long will you play outside
Roo says, "Go for a ride, Let's go for a ride!"
Kanga says, "It's time to come inside."
Now that Roo is Inside
He will later,he will have to sleep tight

(Instrumental break with fiddle solo With Kanga and Roo talking)
(spoken)
Roo: Mama, guess what?
Kanga: What, Roo dear?
Roo: I went bouncing with Tigger today, and I played with Lumpy today, too!
Kanga: Did you finish your dinner, Roo?
Roo: Yes, Mama!
Kanga: Go brush your teeth and wash up for bed, Roo dear.
Roo: I'm not tired (yawns)
Kanga: Looks like you are, dear.

Kanga Singing:
"As you wander through the acre wood
In search of all things beautiful
You can close your eyes and sleep the night away
And tomorrow is another day"

"How long do you want to be loved?"
Kanga says to Roo with love.
"How long do you want to be loved?"
Kanga says with love
Cause she's never, never giving Roo up
(repeat)

Kanga's filled with love
and she's never, never giving Roo up.

(Dialogue finishing the song)
Kanga: Sleepy, Roo?
Roo: Yes, Mama.
(They both blow out the Candle)
Roo: Good Night, Mama.
Kanga: Sweet dreams, Roo Dear.
