The Lyrics

Meet the arrogant prosecutor on his way to his next court case. But who should he bump into but the hapless D.A.? Surely he won't be a self-aggrandising douchenozzle, would he? Of course he would...
You got through law school?
Look like a law school dropout
I'm gonna crush this
Into jail he'll go, because he did it
And I, I know you won't follow
All my tight logic, you're so slow

Prosecute my way
Don't like it? Hard cheese, got no time for feelin's
I'm here to win, see
Judge will slam the gavel with glee

Locked up a long time, stop now
Cause there's no way, no way "Not Guilty" will come down
Look, you always think you're great somehow
But you with a strong case?
You've got a strong case? I doubt
You? With a strong case?
You've got a strong case? I doubt

Your evidence is pathetic
All of it lies with a pinch of forgery
Should just erase 'em
And let my forged lies pass without a problem, dude
Cause I, I have more bravado
Need tight lies, almost my motto

Don't think you'll stop me now
As a prosecutor, the best around
I got my own bribe tab on the low now
But still, you with a strong case?
You've got a strong case? I doubt
You? With a strong case?
You've got a strong case? I doubt (oh-oh-ooh-oh-ooh-oh-ooh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Oh, it's a waste of time to show up now (oh-oh-ooh-oh-ooh-oh-ooh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
You? With a strong case now?

I might do you a favour and debate myself
Could open my mouth and drool, might do well
Cause let's face it: you're hopeless, anyone can tell
Don't know why you're lookin' confident, odd as hell
Cause I, I got the top marks, dope
In my, my test at the bar, so

Well, it may sound repetitious, but you've no chance in hell
Maybe one day, one day you'll have this job worked out
Wait, the court date was this mornin'? Oh sure, that's rich now
That was your strong case?
That was your strong case? Oh, wow
That's not a strong case
That's not a strong case here now
Can't be your strong case
Can't be your strong case here now
That might be a strong case
Might be a strong case here now
Could be a strong case (could be a strong case)
Could be a strong case here now (could be a strong case)
Shit, that's a strong case (shit, that's a strong case)
Shit, that's a strong case here now

Did not intend to have this out just as NintendoCapriSun finished his Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies LP, but here we are anyway. Anyone else got Winston Payne on the brain?

Wait, I'm confused here. Prosecutor and D.A.(District Attorney) - aren't they BOTH working the same side - to convict the defendant? OH-I think I see now, your "D.A." stands for "Defense Attorney". Most of the time I've heard "D.A." used it referred to the prosecutor's role, but I suppose in some areas that is the common or usual way to refer to the defendant's legal rep. Piece makes sense under that definition. Hmmm...maybe it's too early in the morning for my cognitive functions. I'll re-read this later while playing the OS.

There's a slight gulf between your cultural markers and TCOP's, Paul. It's sometimes referred to as ... "The Pacific Ocean". The Parody Conqueror is from Australia. I'll bet that is the source of the misunderstanding

I think it's more likely that the source is me (me being TCOP...I use a different name while commenting, long story) simply not knowing what "district attorney" meant, let alone was another term for the prosecutor. I mean, I knew it was a term, just not what it referred to. Maybe that's what happens when most of my legal knowledge comes from a series of Let's Plays of a visual novel series satirising the Japanese legal system. Thanks for the info, though!

OK, so there was a "cultural gap" here. Makes sense considering the different locales (I'm in Los Angeles, CA). Well, I think this is pretty good work, so I'm "5-ing" it.

Not bad. A little bit repetitive and I would have liked to know what this guy is on trial for and what the lawyer's supposed strong case actually is but otherwise not too shabby.
