The Lyrics

heh, we were doing a project on macbeth in english and we wrote raps about the play and my friends said i should submit this one so here goes, its about how macbeth goes crazy and such. a little knoweldge on the play may help some
Look you were given a shot, an opportunity
to be the greatest king you've always wanted to be.
You blew it, you could have captured it, but you let it slip

Your palms are bloody, weak man, guilt is heavy
You murdered that king yourself already, you aren't steady
You're nervous, but you don't show it, you look tough and ready
To kill more, but we won't be forgettin
The guilt came down, like rain from a storm cloud
Whats that? A voice? The insanities out
You're worried, how everyone's 'spicious now
Times runnin out, you can still go back. NO!
No sense of reality, suffrin' from depravity
Oh, there goes a ghost, you choked
You've gone mad, but you won't give up yet
Will you? No
You don't get it, you know your back's against the ropes
Better give up , no hope
Banquo's next, your now king
He'll take over, that you know
When he gets back from his horsie ride, that when it's
Time to kill again yo
That a good hit
He's a goner, treasure the moment cuz things are lookin' dim

You've gone and lost yourself in the kinghood, the bloodshed
You know it, but you refuse to let it go
You only had one shot, but you missed your chance to rule
The oppurtunity came and you passed it by yo

Your soul's escaping, as Banquo's wound is left gaping
You think the world is yours for the taking
So your king, and you're moving to a, tyrant order
Your normal life was boring, but this kinghood has given you new borders
You only grow eviler, only go crazier
You do it all cause of these gals called witches
Roast your toast, that lifesline's getting hazier
Lonely halls, you don't know
You've grown even more weird, you're no father
You go home and don't realize you won't have a daughter
It's comin' to a close cuz you're in some hot water
Most people don't want you no mo', you're cold hearted
They want a new dude, new schmoe who works
In a nose dive and in trouble
So this little soap opera unfolds
Poor poor you, your wife's dead, her heart beat is gone
Da da dum da dum da da

You've gone and lost yourself in the kinghood, the bloodshed
You know it, but you refuse to let it go
You only had one shot, but you missed your chance to rule
The oppurtunity came and you passed it by yo

No more games, we're not going to take your rage
Tear your mother****ing castle down, like rabid dogs caged
i wasn't playin' in the beginnin', you didn't listen
You've been screwed up since the start and we want to begin a new page
Here comes Malcom and his army, you're in trouble
Best get out, somebody's gonna bust your bubble
The pain suffered now amplified by fact
You don't get it though and join in the fray
And you can't provide the right type of life for your kingdom
Cuz man, these god d*mn murders don't make you great
So here comes the end, here comes that Malcom dude, best beg for your life
And this fight is so tough and it's getting even worse
See, dinhonor caught up with you Macbeth, and now you a gonna'
That man Malcom came on yellin' and took off your head before you wanna'
Stuck in one spot, here's a jam your not
going to get out of. HAHA, you dead as a nail
No time to formulate a plan from here, not gonna end up in jail. You dead.
Success can't come now you mother****ing tyrant, that's your head he's got
Man, we hate you, I'm glad you gone cuz you had to go
That what you get for listnin' to those hags
You thought you were a big shot, but those witches ruined that oppurtunity that you got

You gone and killed yourself with your kinghood
Your bloodshed, you knew it, but you just wouldn't let it go
You had a good shot but you blew it on the first go
That oppurtunity came once in a lifetime yo

You could have done anything you set your mind to man, to bad you messed up

Well...I liked it. Good work here. We did something similar in my English class when we read the Odyssey, except I used popular Broadway hits - one went something like "There's a lot of flavors/I'm prepared to chew/You run into Cyclops/I bite into you". English class is great, isn't it? (If you find my point, please alert me at once.)

I can see the effort put in here and Lose Yourself is a hard song to parody, so even though the pacing wasn't the best I gave it 4-3-3 for originality.

It was Macduff who killed Macbeth.. not Malcolm. Good work though =)
