This song is about a young Christian man (the guy singing) and his wife defending their Christian refugee camp that's under attack in a dismal future where Christians are not only persecuted, but hunted and tortured. Only funny in an "at least it can't get any worse and it's almost over" sort of way.

PLAGIARISM! Mind you, I hate Fall Out Boy, but I know enough of the song to know that you plagiarized it.
Cat, are you retarded? A parody, by definition, is partly plagiarism. It's common practice to leave parts of the lyrics unchanged. Read all the other parodies on this site - they do it all the time!
Why are the ratings on pacing so low? The pacing is perfect if you read it right. You guys just don't have the ear for it. You have to be able to play the song back perfectly in your head like a tape recorder and sinc up the words your reading simultaneously. If you could hear me, I'd sing it for you to show you it does match up if you know which words to emphasize, etc.

"bad theology"?? You should try reading the ENTIRE Bible sometime (www.justbible.com). In Luke 22:36-38, Jesus alluded to the future hostility His disciples would encounter and encouraged them to sell their outer garments in order to buy a sword. Obviously, Jesus approves of self-defense. Yes, Jesus said to turn the other cheek, but when someone smacks you on the cheek, they're obviously not trying to kill you; they're just trying to provoke you or embarrass you or punish you. Jesus didn't say what to do if someone swings a knife at you or points a loaded gun at you. And defense of others should be even more obvious. Mark 12:31 "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." If you loved your brethren, would you sit back and do nothing while they're being tortured to death by a devil-possessed gestapo? (Only JESUS' torture served a purpose.) Jesus is not a pacifist; the New Testament commends Old Testament warriors for their military acts of faith in Hebrews 11:30-40.
yes, bad theology. misapplying information taken from the bible doesn't make a logical argument. it just shows how skewed your theology is. the reason there are so many religions in the world is because man is always trying to find a concept of god that he is comfortable with. the problem is that god has more angles and perspectives than any single human brain can understand. when you try to box in a thinking like this, it is bad theology. accept that god is not humanistic. believe that god is bigger than that. you have to drop your assumptions and learn who god is before you start quoting his intent.

I actually really really liked these lyrics. Everyone is picking this apart, but I don't see why. It's a simple, fun mess-around, innit. The pacing is actually perfect, by the way, if you say the words to the correct rhythm.

wow. that was really good. so many of the disciples and early Christians had there lives taken for the sake of the gospel and didn't fight back and great is their reward. Jesus rebuked peter for trying to fight back when the soldiers came to arrest him. notice he didn't say "thanks but not this time peter, this is all part of the plan". as for me, i could never kill anyone in self defense especially knowing that person would go straight to hell. i believe life is sacred and God should be the one to decide when a person goes. that goes for my life too. my life is in the hands of God and i trust Him wholeheartedly.
