The Lyrics

I know I dont really submit here anymore, but we had to write a war protest song for class so I threw together this parody. I stress the words "threw together." Anyway I figured Id submit it cause I was bored and all. Writing this kinda made me wanna get back into the parody game. If any of you remember me, Id love to hear from you. Vietnam, Iraqi and Saddam
Vietnam, Iraqi and Saddam
Vietnam, Iraqi and Saddam
Vietnam, Iraqi and Saddam

I’m a young adult boy, just out of school (out of school)
Drafted first round in the Vietnam duel (Vietnam duel)
Is this a real war, or is it just a blip? (Just a blip)
Will I die, or will the gov’rn’ment get a grip (get a grip)

You know, it’s not necessarily that I disagree
But will the government at least treat this war seriously?

Vietnam, Iraqi and Saddam
Fighting through fire, the land mines and Napalm
This war’s of low degree, they don’t want no World War III
If we’re serious about ‘Nam, then why haven’t we dropped the bomb?

Vietnam, Iraqi and Saddam
Vietnam, Iraqi and Saddam

Tell me why must I be George Bush’s pawn (Bush’s pawn)
’Cause with just a few words, Iraq could be gone (could be gone)
Well those bombs are nasty, I can see why he’s scared (why he’s scared)
But his troops are dyin and I’m not sure he cares (sure he cares)

And I know he doesn’t want a lot of casualties
But shouldn’t he have thought of that before war was decreed?

Vietnam, Iraqi and Saddam
Fighting through fire, the land mines and Napalm
This war’s of low degree, they don’t want no World War III
If we’re serious about ‘Nam, then why haven’t we dropped the bomb?

Vietnam, Iraqi and Saddam
Fighting through fire, the land mines and Napalm
This war’s of low degree, they don’t want no World War III
If we’re serious about ‘Nam…oh oh
(If we’re serious about ‘Nam)
Then why haven’t... (Vietnam oh oh)
(Vietnam oh oh)
This war’s of low degree, they don’t want no World War III
If we’re serious about ‘Nam, then why haven’t we dropped the bomb?

I remember you, funny that we should make a comeback on the same day, albeit you've been gone much longer than me. Some good pacing and some off so I see what you mean by "threw together", 434 is still OK right. Also I must ask about writing a war protest song as a school project, that would never be allowed as an official task over here in this labelled leftist part of the world (though some of my teachers would gladly have let such a thing pass by if unofficial). BTW: Care to tell us what whd stands for this time? :-)

wdh is back! One of my all-time favorites! And it's not about food this time! An appropriate parody for the day Kurt Vonnegut died.

Not bad; I gave ya 544. Oh, and Kichyd? I think wdh stands for "Worship Denny's on High."

I've also been thinking of making a 'comeback'...even though Ive only been MIA here for four months or so...anyway...Good parody, and yes Michael, I see what you meant by an appropriate parody for the day Kurt Vonnegut died. (RIP) But again, good parody. Very entertaining.

In answer to your question, we haven't dropped The Bomb because we've dropped the bombs: precision guided, tending to take the lives of the guilty far more often than the lives of the blameless, and leaving far less radiation and other hazardous residue in their wake. "Kill'em all and let Allah sort'em out" is Hizballah and Al Qaeda's policy, not ours.

Sorry to change the subject: I take it that no one liked my smart-aleck response to K1CHYD.
