Isn't it hilarious how fans who love this song and now wanna beat up anyone rich or famous are providing the bankroll and fame for these dudes? No matter how "unaffected" by fame and fortune these guys may be, that doesn't take any of their fame and fortune away. Even more ironic than Nirvana's "Come As You Are". Also, in reference to the Rain Man line, see the movie "Rain Man" if you don't get it; it'll do some good as you will see a great movie. And that line is not meant as an insult to anyone but a certain band (a-hem).

Not only are your lyrics bad, your message is very ignorant. Basically, you're implying that because Good Charlotte is now rich & famous, they have become everything they hate. You're one of those @$$holes who thinks that as soon as a band starts making money, they lose all credibility. How exactly do their lives parallel this song other than the fact that they have money and are well-known? They don't complain about how bad their lives are. They don't live in mansions. They don't even care that certain people (ahem) are so negative towards their music. I'm not even that big of a GC fan, but I still find it unfair when self-important, ignorant clods like yourself badmouth them. Bottom line, they make songs that a lot of people enjoy (which they write and perform themselves) and therefore they make a good amount of money. They're definitely not the best band out there, but they're among the most sincere and enjoyable.
Yes, and of course calling me names such as an "ignorant clod" and an "@$$hole" will really get your message across. Good way to express an opinion. That'll give -you- some credibility, now won't it? But I don't really have to argue with you; I have better things to do. You entertain me.

'I'd like to see them spend a week / livin' life out on the street / I don't think they would survive' I'd like to see this band walk round my home town on a Friday night with their dodgy haircuts, eye make-up and 'punk' attitude. Any bets on what stage the ambulance appers? Seriously, how long are whimpy middle-class lads with eye make-up going to last anywhere remotely 'ghetto'. And if you take 'on the street' literally, i doubt these guys have any credentials to survive being homeless. I wonder if they shack up with friends or get individual hotel rooms when they go on tour...hmmm.

This parody is exactly right. GC are 'always complaining' about people who claim to know what bands should or shouldn't sing about. Are you suggesting that bands should go on tour for months at a time and refuse to be paid? Or that they should try to lose fans? As for 'If bands could sing a song or two About the life that now rings true I think off the charts they would fall', try listening to Pearl Jam's second album (Vs). Not only was it real, it was one of the most commercially successful albums in history.
Surely, KS4NA< you don't think that Good Charlotte are playing Pop-Punk (wow, at the exact same moment that it's the 'in-thing' to do - how bizarre!) because they are passionate about it? Or that they don't have any more interesting or controversial opinions on anything other than 'celebrities suck, cos, like, they are all rich and stuff'...
