First, I'm sorry I was able to choose only one decade for the song. Moving on, the drums that open "Give Me Novacaine" made me wonder how hard it would be to mash the lyrics up with "When the Levee Breaks." I had to make changes, and the Levee lyrics I found online were helpful, but Robert Plant and company can make more than one syllable sound like just one; some syllables may be audible only at high volumes; and the lyrics' source(s) might be eclectic, as WtLB goes at least as far back as Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie. Although some interpretations of the song may be especially depressing, I've tried to focus more on the words themselves simply as words, and if I'm making any psychological, sociological, or philosophical statements, I'm not consciously aware of them. I sought out a mashup section here at the site but was unable to find one, but I might not have spent enough time looking. I considered submitting it to the Fragments section, but I honestly don't think the following is a set of better lyrics, and there's probably even more humor in trying to sing the original lyrics to a different melody than there is in the following lyrics themselves. The above being stated, do not hesitate to try to improve on the following if the mood strikes.
