I never thought that I could have so much fun with squares of paper
But to my great surprise, they give me so mu-uch glee-ee
From swans to bears to dogs to a variety of other creatures
I could spend the whole da-amn yea-ear
Followin' the instructions, foldin' ev'ry corne-er wi-ith ease
I'm usin' my fingernails to make sure ev'ry singl-le crea-ease
Folds right, becau-ause it's a pain in the ass
When your pape-er dog won't sit straight for crap
But I'll just pre-ess on and make more small cats
Why do it at a-a-all? Mostly cause I can

My room's filled wi-ith paper galore
Red pandas a-and spiders and more
But wha-at's really no-ot fair, the real wo-o-o-ord
I've not said, I'd feel li-ike a je-e-erk
If I don't say it here: I like origami, yeah-eah-eah-eah

Gotta say, a lot of things that I've made, I do-on't really know
If they're genuinely authentic'lly Japane-ese
A frog's one thing, but the Cookie Monster? Don't think so
But to be honest, it doesn't matter much to me-e
Because this is for fun and to keep my fingers up to-o spee-eed
And makin' paper scissors is the very best kind o-of wei-eird
Not always the-e one size paper square, man
I can make a-a tent, though, duh, it won't last
Or I can ma-ake cranes small as rice, true fact
Tricky to infla-a-ate the small, hidden sack

My room's stuffed wi-ith paper galore
Got pine trees a-and small sheep and more
I wou-ouldn't up a-and say I'm great, thou-ou-ou-ough
It's a hobby, not my-y life flo-ow
It's just fun to make art

I wish I could recall where it was I-I got my start
Was it a book? Was it in school I-I learned this art? An'
If so, was it hist'ry or just simply art class?
But in the end, does the question matter all that much, though
If I can still make a paper willy?
