-> "Trains, Trains, Trains"
Original Song Title:
"Girls, Girls, Girls"
(MP3)
Parody Song Title:
"Trains, Trains, Trains"
The Lyrics
All aboard all aboard
Cause I love trains, and so very more
Now this:
[[Chorus:]]
I love trains, trains, trains, trains
Trains so big and bold
I'll give you one free round trip ticket, don't let it slip right out your pocket
And now here are some my favorite trains
[[1st Verse:]]
I got some 'Waukee Road
Arrows and the 'Wathas
Hiawatha's fast like blank gun bullets
Rockets through the Midwest like a fast mustang
It's like "The Big Concorde" without delta plane wings
I like the Arrow, going west out the 'burbs
This railroad's all so old, cannot spit out no verbs
Oh no, The Milwaukee Road, mismanaging itself
Fell in so severe morbid insolvency
I love the Flambeau with green and bright limes
C&NW on the surviving list
This great iron horse, ain't no mime
Not as so feeble now, so more than a dime
Like Kate Shelley Four-Hundred no signs of no shiznit
To Minneapolis, four hundred minutes
Great, but there ain't really no shortcuts to there
But those may be lies there may be delays between
That's all 'Watha Trains, Arrows, Flambeau, Four Hundreds
That's Milwaukee, C. Northwestern, Union Pacific
Chicago's the hub, a spider web
A tribute to the railroads in Chicagoland
[[Chorus]]
[[New Chorus:]]
I love trains, trains, trains, trains
Trains in the U.S.A!
Hear them big ol' steel wheels grind, blowin old steam whistles
Come on present your ticket hop on (let's go)
[[2nd Verse:]]
I love Rock Island, but 'twas gosh darn broke
Amtrak: Why not sell your train service to me?
Was a big Amtrak showoff, ran trains until it rots
Had to cut off some expenses, just to save it some money
Love the Burlington, its' great Zephyrs
But 'twas not bankrupt yeah, bless its heart
Doodlebugs innovate they've been stars of that great show
Gas power so early, diesels went so morbid
I love the old Wabash and their old blue birds
The previous train's life was the Banner Blue
CP now has trackage rights on this old Wabash
Oh great that's good but it merged out too early
The Midwest's a railroad spiderweb from its heads to its toes
See for yourself at the railroad museum
Chicago had industries tied to its mainlines
Radiating in many diff'rent directions!
Now Burlington, Rock Island, and the Wabash Road
Those railroads did not survive, highways took big tolls
Comp'nies all go poof, lose grounds, cannot compete
That's because of all great bizzes going overseas
[[Chorus]]
[[New Chorus]]
[[3rd Verse:]]
I love the Soo Line Railroad, but its routes are never short
No access to the Mil-Town very long for any traveler
Chicago Great Western, the great Corn Belt
Not good at haulin' travelers throughout the great Midwest
Love B&O trains, The great Capitol Limited
Alton Railroad is dead now, but it carried some pax.
I love the Soo Line, everything was fine
Except that it had longer routes, dang!
I love the Land O' Corn by good ol' Illinois Central
IC was the last railroad standing like that before!
Now, but for the C&NP it just went belly up
Fraudulent as hell back then, B&OCT!
Love South Shore Lines, although no patrons really rode
RTA shines on trains, thanks to Dick Ogilvie
From sea to shining sea the railroads connect all cities
Chicago is the hub for iron paths!
[[Chorus:]]
[[New Chorus:]]
[[Chorus:]]
I like trains, trains, trains, trains,
Cool trains!
