The Lyrics
Welcome to Oregon
(Chorus) Welcome to Oregon where the explorers searched and the pioneers blazed,
And they ride on their chromed out wagons like everyday,
Big beats, no streets, see tumbleweeds rollin, and their aren't any parties, so sleep until 8 in the morning!
Verse 1
Now the exploration didn't start til 1753,
And everyone started claiming the territory.
And in the mean-time, between boundary lines,
Spain, Russia, Britain, and the U.S. fought all the time.
To get all the land, Russia did try,
Exploration was the claim, that's not going to fly.
Spain gave up claims til latitude 42,
If you were the U.S. you'd kick them out too.
U.S. is da MDC, Most Dominant Country,
Make our own rules, and take greedily.
Monday Night, Polk devised a treaty.
Tuesday night, Americans and Britain shared the land.
Wednesday, the U.S. said that's not going to work hand in hand.
Thursday, 900 Americans traveled to Willamette Valley through day and night.
Friday, Polk said "Fifty Four Forty or Fight"
Saturday Polk was off the heazy fo sheazy; he got smart and drew up another treaty.
Sunday, 49 was the latitude that was dividing.
Cause on Monday the U.S. will be colonizing.
HOLLA!!!!
Chorus
