The Lyrics

What if the San Diego Padres move to the Canadian city of Vancouver?
During our game against the Braves, those scarlet-colored Atlanta naives
A meteor landed on Petco Park when the sky is almost dark
All the crowds are running away, so San Diego's no longer where we'll stay
But we headed straight into our locker rooms, hoping our team won't doomed

The coach had an incoming phone call about a press conference at Montreal
No matter how much blood we're bleeding, but we must prepare for our meeting
The very next day, the execs told us to move our HQ, it's a must
The coach will tell my teammates and me, "Relocate to the province of B.C.!"

We are the Vancouver Padres... San Diego is no more!
Some former Montreal Expos fans are still kinda bored
Since the Blue Jays had never been part of NL before
We are the Vancouver Padres... San Diego is no more!

Heading straight to Nat Bailey Stadium, home of baseball team called "Canadians"
So we told the players of that team about that meteor-crashing scene
Where the Petco Park in SD have been destroyed seriously
Montreal brought us Padres here, we've a scene that we should clear

The Canadians team urge to move to Montreal, I hope you'll get approved
The Padres and I will own the N.B., not New Brunswick but Nat Bailey
Since the National League needed a franchise, in which Canada is where they reside
Now my coach agreed over yours, here come MLB's new Canadian force

We are the Vancouver Padres... San Diego is no more!
Some former Montreal Expos fans are still kinda bored
Since the Blue Jays had never been part of NL before
We are the Vancouver Padres... San Diego is no more!

Over the years before the Washington Nationals... comes the Expos of Montreal
The non-American club of National League... the Toronto Blue Jays are a shame too intrigue
The rumors of the Padres moving to D.C., failed over the years to the 21st century
The Padres had a go to move to Canada, though they're originated in California

We are the Vancouver Padres... San Diego is no more!
Some former Montreal Expos fans are still kinda bored
Since the Blue Jays had never been part of NL before
We are the Vancouver Padres (we are the Vancouver Padres)
We are the Vancouver Padres (or maybe B.C. Padres)
We are the Vancouver Padres... San Diego is no more!

Tokusou - Is this being considered? I ask because I remember the Milwaukee Braves, Montreal Expos, Seattle Pilots, Kansas City Athletics, and Washington Senators. Great job!

Interesting idea, creative

The Padres almost moved to Washington in 1974, but with a new ballpark and a rebuilt team that's in contention, plus Vancouver's Triple-A ballpark is 60 years old and seats 6,500 people, and they don't want to move into that dome, the premise is completely ridiculous.
