The Lyrics

This parody is about a guy who thinks hes it, and the bungee jump rope breaks
I was so high I did not recognize
The bungee rope was not tied
The chaos I felt looking down
Whispered goodbye when I jumped off the plane
Never to return again
But always in my heart

This bungee jump will kill me this time,
I've done this too many times before
Im falling all the way down
I have no choice cause I will have to say goodbye once more

I tried my best to tie the rope
one mistake and I can't cope,
lets just get this over with
Kept playing this like it was just a game
playing like I wasn't scared
Then turn around and jump again

This bungee jumps scaring me,
my last time to say goodbye
my legs are breaking in front of me
I have no choice cause I'm not going to live anymore

I'll fix these broken things
Repair these broken wings
And make sure everything's alright
My pressure on the rope
my last chance
to live
Cause I know that's what I have to do
Incase you where wondering, the guy does fix the rope, and lives, never to bungee jump again!!!!!

Nice try, girls...a good concept and some nice ideas. A few tips from Dr. Kris's School of parody writing...1) Always try to get the pacing spot on, it really detracts from the song if it's not. Get lyric sheets, count syllables, whatever....2) Try not to use too many lines from the original, and if you do, they've got to complement the original stuff you've wrote...look for funny punchlines at the end of verses, something unexpected, be as silly as you want!! Keep writing :-) 333

Well, Saint Kristof was really quite merciful. Like he said, pacing could be a whole lot better. I mean, if you sang this, it would be mighty hard to follow. It was a good idea, but the execution was...not so good. Nice job anyway. 2-3-3.

It was too dark to be funny, and the pacing wasn't great. 3-1-2

Not only were many of the lines verbatim from the original, but pacing was off in a few places as well. On top of that, it wasn't the least bit funny.
