The Lyrics

Dedicated to the people who leave their Christmas lights hanging up all year round.
They're getting so ugly on your front steps
Maybe you should leave them up, or take them down instead.
They are yellow, and green and red.
I'm telling you "you better take them down!"
But after midnight, morning will come
But even in the light, you can still see them.

(Chorus)
You say "well taking them down is too tough tough tough."
Man, just take down your lights, take down your lights.
You say "Well taking them down gets too rough rough rough".
Man, just take down your lights, take down your lights!
Just grab a ladder, ladder, ladder, pull them down down down
Off your roof and chimney
Not everything in this magical world is as perfect as it seems.

I looked above the other day,
I saw your giant plastic snowman and his sleigh.
Your lights are still up in June,
If it's August, they're up, in November they're up, If it's March, they're up.

You gotta get rid of those hideous lights,
Why don't you don't you don't you take 'em down tonight.
I pretend that I like them, though they are ugly,
Yes, I do hate them, what did you think?
You're taking, you're taking them down, good for you!
That plastic Santa's starting to mildew.
Just take 'em down, take 'em down,
Why can't you, why can't you, just take them down?

Where is your logic,
Why can't you see
I think you really need to throw out that Frosty.
Take 'em down, take 'em down down down,
You do not need you don't need to leave them up,
Where is your logic,
Why can't you see
I think you really need to throw out that Frosty.

I had to take a point off for pacing, since the original song doesn't go through the chorus a third time. But the content is so true; people shouldn't leave their lights up year round; it's silly. I'm gonna vote 3-4-5.

A few of my neighbors still have theirs up. Vote: 3-5-5.
