The Lyrics

On November 18 and 19 of 2005, I will be playing the part of "Marshall Brown" in The Nashoba Players' new dinner theatre production, "The Award Show". At the request of the director, I've been "commissioned" to write some parodies of show-tunes that we will use in this upcoming performance of "The Award Show". This particular parody will be sung by the character "Chantelle Derriere", a young, attractive, seemingly-French actress, vivacious yet clueless, when she finds out she has won only ONE instead of TWO "Artty Awards".
What ever happened to my part?
Eeet was exciting at zee start
Now we're halfway sroo Act 2
And I've had nothing yet to do

I've been offstage for far too long
Eeet's ages seence I had a song
Ziss eess one unhappy Diva
Ze producers 'ave deceived 'er
Zere eess nothing I can sing from my heart
Whatever happened to my part?

I am seeck of my career
Always starting second gear
Up to here, with frustration and with fears
I've no Oscar-type-rewards
Just one "Artty Award" [holds up Artty Award]
I'm constantly replaced with Britney Spears!

Whatever happened to my show?
I was a hit, now I don't know
I'm with a bunch of silly guys
Glancing down between my thighs

I might as well go to cafe
And seet zere slurping Chardonnay
Producers, keess my tush!
You're all zee bag for douche!
Eeet seems to me you're really lobster-snot!

Whatever happened to my
I'll call my agent, dammit
Whatever happened to my
Not yours, not yours,
But my,
Part!
