The Lyrics

This was very hard to do. It involved condensing approximately 131 minutes of science-fiction/action film into about 3:30 of Romanian dance music! I won't be doing this kind of thing again. Not in this century anyway. And I should add these (they're phonetic lyrics) and this. Also, I parodied the "Mi-a-hii" bits (according to them phonetic lyrics), so take that into account.
Trinity's here
On the phone to
Morpheus, but
Here come the co-hops

Trin' has no fear
Runs to the roof
Agent's come 'round
Smith, Jones and Brow-hown

Flies through the air
To the next roof
Gets to the street
Back on her fee-heet

Garbage truck smashed
Into her booth
Agents then go
Off to find Neo

"Neo"
Wakes up
Finds words
On his PC
And it says
"The Matrix has you" "Follow
The white rabbit"
Goes to
Nightclub
He finds Trinity who says she knows
What he's there for
"What's the Matrix?" He wants to know

Gets a package
And the message guy
Says "Have a nice day"
Neo starts to wonder why
Phone then rings
He nearly drops the phone
He is shocked right to the bone

Morpheus says
"They're coming for you
But I do not know
What they are going to do"
Neo asks "Who?"
Then he runs away
But he's caught, this ain't his day

Mouth's sealed
He's bugged
He then
Wakes up
Phone rings
Morpheus says to meet
Adams Street Bridge
Trin', Switch'
Apoc
He gets debugged
Morpheus at last he meets
"Don't believe fate?
I know exactly what you mean"

"The Matrix can
Be found everywhere
When you go to work
The Matrix is always there
And it blinds you
From the truth behind
You're a pris'ner in your mind"

"Which will you choose:
Blue pill or red pill?
Blue makes you wake up
Believe whatever you will
Red pill makes you
Stay in Wonderland"
Neo doesn't feel so grand

Free from machines
Neo ends up
On hovercraft
Nebuchadnezzar

Morpheus shows
Neo about
The Matrix but
Neo goes 'po-hop'

Neo soon learns
Types of kung-fu
Misses his jump
Learns not to die-hie

Cypher betrays
All of the crew
Tank's still alive
Makes Cypher fry-hy

Morpheus is
Stuck in a building
Takes a truth serum
Smith tries to make him give in
Neo saves him
Dodging bullets first
Meanwhile Sentinels must burst

Neo runs then
Gets shot in the chest
Thanks to Agent Smith
Trin' helps Neo stop that pest
Neo jumps in Smith
Blowing him to bits
The Agents decide to split
Ah, a sequel to a very old song of mine. Once ChuckyG's got his act together, that old song will finally have comments on! Note, it's called "The Matrix" (duh), and it's a parody of "My Band" by D12.

NOW THAT MUST'VE BEEN HARD! And what a great outcome, 5-5-5

Got in early... booyeah.... (SOTM) As seen on TV... I mean above

SOTM - Strangely enough, with my science fiction parody CV, I've only done one parody about The Matrix, "Neo fights" to an old Black Sabbath song called "Neon Knights", and it was actually pretty crappy. This is not only sooo much better, it's also the best parody of a Rumanian original I've ever seen! :-)

(SOTM) Where in the world did you find this song? This parody ahould go in the Guines books as the strangest Amiright parody that wasn't written by TSB... and that's a good thing. I thought TOS was absurd when I heard it. And you are developing into a master of your craft, so now you can freely experiment with your parodies. Awesome, if extremely absurd, job! 555

(SOTM) I don't want to know where you found this song to parody. I want to know WHY you decided to do a parody of it! 555

(SOTM) I love the OS (come on, you can sing along and BS half the lyrics and no one will know unless they speak Romanian). I'm not quite as crazy about this parody, but it's still a commendable effort parodying a very difficult song. I've been thinking about spoofing it myself but haven't gotten around to it yet.

In order to get 5's one must visualize the truth... There is no 1

(SOTM) Impressive! And how ironic that I followed along to this just as one of my best guy friends, who was shocked that I'd never seen The Matrix, lent me a DVD of it and expected me to watch it this weekend when I had a lot of other things to do. I'll probably wind up watching it sometime, but for now maybe I can just remember what you've written here and try to fake it. =P Nice job, Pieman.

I only gave you 5's because The Matrix told me to (lol). Seriously, good work. -- MM

(SOTM) Now THIS is a really hard song to parody, I'll tell you that. And it was funny, so 555 to u!

(SOTM) ah, so THAT'S what happened - I got so lost in the movie version - as you said, conq, huge effort here - 555

(SOTM) Bob, kudos for just attempting this. This is brilliantly out there. 555+

Great job on a tough song, and fitting a great movie in there as well. Should have been the promo song on the trailer!

(ABC4-M) Looking at those lyrics, I would have said "can't be done". But wow, not only did I not get lost reading your parody to the original, but you hit most of the important points of the Matrix movie IN ORDER as well as managed to get this to rhyme. Big 5s.

This honestly is one of your best. Not only did you do the impossible by parodying a song that doesn't even use english, but you also did it about one of my favorite movies in order that the events take place in the movie. So wow... I'm just amazed, I don't know how you didn't do amazingly in SOTM.

(ABC-M) With a little work this could be turned into Matrixcide. Well Done. Calling Norman Bates. Report to the Matrix conrorl room, your Mommy is waiting there for you with your girlfriend.

(ABCM) crikey, on second read I appreciate the amount of work that went into this, bobpie - not just mastering the short lines, which you did, but the amount of detail from the films that you crammed in - awesome effort

Impressive, young jedi! Good to see again, see above!

(ABC) Oh man I got lost really bad in this one buddy. . .it's really funny, but I really couldn't follow the pacing at all. . .I guess I'd have to hear these lyrics sang to that beat to follow it, I'm sorry. Nice detailed recap of the movie though.
Invisible Boy - February 20, 2008 - Report this comment
(ABC) Herculean effort here bobpie. A Cliff-notes version of the Matrix set to Romanian music. You have a strange mind...and that's a good thing.
Mikey Squirrel - February 20, 2008 - Report this comment
ABC- I got a little lost on the pacing too, maybe because of unfamiliarity with the OS. A very good summary of the movie, and well done!
