Original Song Title:

"Hey There Delilah"

Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Professor Linus"

Parody Written by:

Jack Wilson

The Lyrics

Im blinding you with science do do HE BLINDED US WITH SCIENCE!
Professor Linus
Mad scientist of the city
Makes experiments all day
Sometimes the results they are shitty
Yes they are
Like when he made liquid-fueled cars
Did not go far

Professor Linus
Master of speed, time and distance
His assistant's kinda homely
One time he caught him pissin'
In the tube
They're both mad scientist and boob
It's no surprise

Oh he;s blown up everything
Don't try his type of cheese
It's plutonium if you please
Oh this atom has an Eve
And her name it is Penny

Professor Linus
His classes are not that hard
He teaches guys and girls
How to make experiments with tubs of lard
They don't look good
When stuff don't turn out like it should
He thinks its good
( Rhyme good with good? what the hell Higgneson?)

Professor Linus
Brought some elements today
It looks like nitrogen and salt
What's up his sleeve now anyway?
Don't know at all
If he mixes those he's got balls
But why the salt?

Oh he's been for 18
Years in the same lab I think
He's even taken leaks
Sometimes the lab reeks

His nuttiness can go quite far
Puts elements and in planes and cars
And bunson burners and beaker cups too
He could do all this stuff all day
There could be a big explosion
And we'll just laugh and say "We knew!"
He'll probably look forward to that day
And right now i can promise you
He could blow up a buildiing too
Then there would no more school days
He might get blamed

Professor Linus
No relative of Jerry Lewis
If he was, it made have screwed us
Cause it'd be no surprise, they can be loons
He's made his ass look like baboon's
He does anything he wants too
He'll make Frankenstein outta you
It matters too

Oh , yes science he does teach
Only one that isn't mean
He knows lots of chemistry
And he knows tomfoolery
Igor's with him see?

I profess that this is funny.

Cartoonishly imaginative..I like it

A bit confused on this one "liquid-fueled cars" (Isn't gasoline a liquid?), They're both mad scientist and boob (Huh? And boob? What does that mean?), No relative of Jerry Lewis (Why would he be? That kinda left me for a blank).... But all in all, the parts that didn't leave me puzzled were really good and really funny, and not to leave you angry at me I'll list a few of those too "How to make experiments with tubs of lard", and of course, "He's made his ass look like baboon's". Very cartoony like AFW says.

(DEC 2.10) Some nice ideas here, Jack... but not quite pulled together. The pacing's not as tight as I know you can do, and some of the lines feel a bit rushed and clunky. Not up to your recent standard, mate. Sorry...444

(Dec) Matthias and Kristof said pretty much what I wanted to say.

(Dec 2.0) While the idea was great, the rather out-of-place lines and clunky pacing let it down a bit. After last round's wowser, this is a bit of a let-down. But, keep on tryin' anyways.

What Bob said - I thought it was a good idea for a title sub, that you could have done more with.

Decathlon...I immediately thought of Lost's Ben Linus, and couldn't get his face out of my head the whole time I was reading this. So...don't be offended that I scowled the whole time...I just really hate that guy. ; )

As for the parody, I have to agree that it's kind of a step down from last month's work...but it still made me smile...

(decath) gee, chemistry sets, explosions and Frankenstein are on high rotation in this decathlon round - btw my car runs on a liquid called petrol, Jack, so liquid aint that bad an idea for car fuel - I liked the self-flaggelation of "rhyming good with good" and the way you dragged Jerry Lewis into the proceedings too - lol - 555

Aside from the pacing glitches, I thought you did a nice job here

(Dec2) Very well paced in my personal opinion. . .but I-ah-got a bit lost buddy. . .it's not quite your Lady Marmalade parody, but I have to say that I AM impressed with the improvements in your pacing in recent contests. . .I hope it continues Jack, because I like this newer style of writing you've reached lately.

Sorry that I missed this, as I do so love the deLilah tune! And I also enjoyed the jerry Lewis note.
