Parody Song Title:

"I Hate the Plain White T's"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Hey there Delilah
I think I could use some pity
Cause I really hate this song
Although the tune is kinda pretty
Yes it’s true
Sometimes I don’t know what to do
I guess I’ll sue

Hey there Delilah
I am tired of hearing this song
On the radio and MTV
It just goes on for too long
Shut my ears
The chorus is coming up I fear
And now it’s here

Oh I hate the Plain White T’s
Oh I hate the Plain White T’s
Oh I hate the Plain White T’s
Oh I hate the Plain White T’s
Hate the Plain White T’s

Hey there Delilah
I think now it’s gone too far
If I have to hear this song one more time
I’ll break the band’s guitar
Then I’d be glad
Right now the song’s making me mad
It’s super bad

Hey there Delilah
What more is there left to say?
If Tom Higgenson can write this junk
Then he must not be okay
Obsessive too
He should be locked up in the zoo
For stalking you

Oh I hate the Plain White T’s
Oh I hate the Plain White T’s
Oh I hate the Plain White T’s
Oh I hate the Plain White T’s

It’s sweet and soft and romantic
No wonder it is such a hit
Perhaps it is worth those ninety-nine cents
But there’s just something about the words
That makes me want to shoot a bird
I know that it does not make that much sense
Delilah, it’s not personal
But your love song is awfully dull
And I don’t think I’ll ever be the same
And you’re to blame

Hey there Delilah
I forgot to write the last verse
I suppose I’ll keep on singing
Even though I should have rehearsed
A little more
I hope my record hits will soar
Even though this song’s such a bore
I think we’ll breakdance on the floor
Open the door

Oh I hate the Plain White T’s
Oh I hate the Plain White T’s
Oh I hate the Plain White T’s
Oh I hate the Plain White T’s
Hate the Plain White T’s

Nice job. Especially liked the "stalking verse."The OS has some pretty well crafted internal rhyming, but otherwise it's pretty insipid.

Sir Dan, Somehow this romantic song is so touching! You did a great job, on a project that you so obviously dislike. SIr, I thank thee 555 times over the moon !

Amazing!! This song makes me want to kill a bird as well... I would go to a Plain White T's show strictly to throw blunt objects at them...
