The Lyrics

Hey there Godiva
Where'd you get that great idea
It's a thousand years ago
But girl your name's still famous via
History
Time's march can't fade your memory
At least for me

Lady Godiva
When your husband's oppressive taxes
Made his land so hard to live in
And had people grinding axes
You were kind
Begged him to reduce them many times
But he declined

You said you'd perform a dare
Cruise town naked on a mare
If he'd make the the taxes fair
Yes, your courage and your flair
They are quite a pair

Hey brave Godiva
Guess you must have found it hard
To ride from one end to the other
Of the town without regard
For those who stare
Your bareback ride was really bare
No underwear

I wish Godiva
I could ask you to attest
Whether you thought the men of Coventry
Would honor your request
To look away
How could you expect them to obey
No freakin' way

They were eager to behold
Your long tresses shining gold
And I'll bet if it was cold
That you made your point twofold

A thousand times I've struggled to
Convince the world that it's still true
To protest nude is by far the greatest way
I mean of course by pretty girls
With well-toned thighs and golden curls
Not fat old guys who live at the buffet
Godiva, as you clearly knew
When women show dissent like you
The men will rise up to support their cause
With much applause

Hey there Godiva
Now I'm in an institution
Two more years till I'm released, they say,
Then I'll start distribution of my book
It's based on your advice I took
Called "If They Won't Listen, Make Them Look."
I really owe it all to you...
I wish you knew

It was genius, I must say
Put your assets on display
On a horse to get your way
We should do that still today
We have gone astray

"Yes, your courage and your flair/They are quite a pair...And I'll bet if it was cold/That you made your point twofold" With subtle naughtiness like that this parody deserves 5's.

So all that so called porn on the internet is nothing more than a mass organized protest against taxes? Why didn't anyone tell me before!? From now on I don't need to feel bad when I by accident happen to stumble over one of those sites. :-)

(SOTM) A history lesson AND a porn show? I didn't think that was possible. But clearly, I was wrong. 555 for you!

The only Godiva I like is the chocolate.... Not too fond of history lessons or this original song so I have rough feelings about this although I can see that a lot of painstaking research went into this.
