The Lyrics

Track 9 of the full album parody of 'Kid A' by Radiohead, saluting great American sitcoms. (Track 8 parody, "Meathead", was written by me in 2004 and is found here on Amiright elsewhere).
My tale to tell
My tale to tell
What a strange encounter
See Eddie, so scary

Such strange Gothic furniture
They all looked so dead
Howling from the basement
So creepy, so kooky
Eeep!
So spooky
This family

Tall one drove the car
Eight feet tall with scars
Grandpa looked like a vampire
Such visions of hell
Their life looked swell

Creepy clans are dressed to kill
Slinking around around around...

What a scary laugh
Wednesday has the craft
Pugsley's on her staff

I really should warn you, there's Munsters coming
Into suburban land
I really should warn you, the Addams are coming
Into suburban land
Neighbors running, running, running...

Munsters are on, the family's here
Everybody wants to be one
Addams are on, the family's here
Everybody wants to be a monster
Creeping, creeping, creeping...

The sun's risen up, so their coffins are closed
Everybody wants to be one
Everybody wants to be Addams
Or they want be a Munster
Lurching, lurching, lurching...

Scary good.

In the end, they're still a one big happy family.

(Artistry) I loved the Addams Family as a kid. That theme song is still to this day, one of my favorite theme songs of all time. This was an overall solid parody. The pacing was good, and the topic was fun and festive. It just didn't wow me. I like it a lot, it gives me great nostalgia. I think the OS didn't give you enough room to spread your (bat)wings.

(Artistry) Pretty good, but I think it might've been better if it'd focused on one spooky-themed sitcom instead of two. Or maybe it was all about the Addam's Family and the Munsters were only mentioned in the end, it was kinda vague. Maybe that's on me for not really knowing much about either show beyond the base premise and characters. Still, 555 and all, but a bit of polishing would've worked wonders, IMO.

The lead singers annoying screech really bothered me. Radiohead stick with Creep. Anyways this was fun and I always liked the Addams and the Munsters but I agree with T-Cop and separate parodies of them would of been better.

Overall, not bad. I agree with Blaydeman that the original theme is one of the best of all time...this original Radiohead song, however, not so much haha. Not your fault, but your spoof was still solid enough to make me realize I wasn't listening to Radiohead. Nicely done.
