.....writing parodies. (Hopefully this parody will work to "My favorite things" by Julie Andrews too, but I was listening to Spaffīs version on the Robert Lund Christmas Album when I wrote it (and borrowed a few rhymes in the beginning too) so it seems fair to credit that as the original).

It was pretty good, except Leno and Reno don't rhyme. But I give it fives anyway.
Well, 8 votes so far is about my average and/so thanx everyone who voted (and commented). Maybe it would have gotten even more votes if I had written Julie Andrews as original performer, I guess that only those who have bought Spaffīs and Robertīs Christmas Album recognized "performed by", but as stated above I was listening to Spaffīs version as I wrote it, itīs pretty clearly influenced by his version, and since his is available on a real album I thought it should be so. And besides, Iīve seen parodies being done to Weird Al versions of others originals so thatīs the way it should be, right?
PS. I was very tempted to through in another in-joke besides the Salt Lake reference: "During The Spaff show at Vegas convention". But I didnīt wanna spoil the chances of that con ever happen before more planning even gets off the ground... ;-)

Jake: Thank you, that's really a compliment cos English is not my first language. This parody is probably my best one though, maybe together with a piece called "Flip the bird". I wish they're were all this "solid" but to often I still mess up with words like when/then, too/to, must/most, by/buy etc. That's when my alieness shows through. As long as I myself have fun here and others find themselves amused by my stuff it's okey I guess.
