The Lyrics

Have you ever had somebody you're watching TV with want to watch two shows at once? Switching back and forth during slow parts and commericals and whatnot? Then you know where I'm coming from!
Jamie Hyneman’s the guy who’ll make things explode
Just so he can prove the laws of science
On the other channel is the TAPS crew
Who hear voices out of the silence

You switch back and forth between them quickly
The Build Team made a bomb from using duct tape
The glimpse of those stations while you’re clicking
Is enough to give me a headache

Just pick something to watch!
Just pick something to watch!
It’s eerie
Watch those dudes freak!

MythBusters! Ghost Hunters!
Can’t watch them both together!
You’ll see flames then floating spheres
With Protoplasmic smears

Ghost Hunters? MythBusters?
Will pop rocks and coke make your gut rupture?
That kid we saw just disappeared
Now that’s just freaking weird!

Why can’t you just stick to one dang channel?
Can’t follow either switching stations!
Here is a myth that I dismantled!
You are my cause of frustration!
Jason heard a door slam: “It’s a monster!”
That table hovers makes me freak out!
While Jamie sets up a test using a lobster
To see if when it snows if they will shiver

Just pick something to watch!
Just pick something to watch!
In my seat…
I’ve grown so peeved!

MythBusters! Ghost Hunters!
You need picture in picture
These guys have such sweet careers!
Busting myths with sweet gear!

Ghost Hunters! MythBusters!
Those ghosts will make me shudder!
There’s Bloody Mary in a mirror
They wet their pants in fear!

Just pick something to watch!
Just pick something to watch!
Ask Adam
All your questions!
Just pick one freaking show to watch!
Can you take to the skies
On a chair
With balloons tied?

Ghost Hunters! MythBusters!
To a couch strapped rocket thrusters!
The reason we do not care
Watch a couch soar in the air!

MythBusters! Ghost Hunters!
A ghostly chill makes them squeal
“Let’s get the Hell out of here!”
If it weren’t for the ratings they’d bail

Ghost Hunters! MythBusters!
Combined them both inside a blender
Test out the Myth from Beatlejuice
Saying his name won’t make him “Poof!”

MythBusters! Ghost Hunters!
At last the end of this ordeal
But look The Simpsons are there
Lined up the same time as “King of the Hill”!!!

Yep, you got a point there, Matthias! Switching between channels are a nuisance, especially when two of your fave shows/movies are shown at the same time! I had to switch between Simpsons, Family Guy, Spongebob, etc. There are also times I switched between South Park and Malcolm in the Middle, with 2 of my fave episodes! Great job on this parody, though!! And this is my favorite OS as well.

Three words: "Picture-in-picture". Or go to Mall-Wart, and for $69, get another TV.

(Dec3) You know, you COULD wait for the DVD's to come out. But what to do in the meantime? Continue writing awesome parodies like this one, DUH. 555!

LOL...I loved this, Matty! Very funny. I've never watched Mythbusters, but have definitely gotten sucked in to Ghost Hunters before. Too funny!

(ABC) Conceptually and lyrically it's really good and really funny. The pacing was rough to follow for me. I read through your's several times, adn it seemed that on a few lines you were missing a syllable or something like that. Good, but couldn't used a little more polish.

(ABC) Great double feature, and VERY cleverly done. You can see both on channel 555!

(ABC) I think this would have been a funnier parody if it focused on the debate of which show to watch rather than the description of the shows themselves. Interesting subs for the "La ro le la rol le la" part.

ABC: Why a song about this hasn't been done yet is shocking to me. Great song choice for this topic and nice work spoofing it!

I overall liked it, but there was a pretty big rhyme miss. This song is written ABAB in the verses, you got the B and missed the A completely. . .for example she rhymes slowly with only and so with fo' (Intentionally mispronouncing for to make it rhyme with so--an easy miss I suppose) your counter parts quickly/clicking and explode/drew obviously aren't rhymes/near rhymes. . .this happened several times. May not seem that bad, but if you sing it knowing TOS it's noticed. . .
