The Lyrics

Don't you just love it when people complain over nothing?
Oh, how I hate it when you complain
When you sit around at home all day,
Watch TV, and eat Little Debbie snacks
While I do all the grocery shopping

Is it really too much to ask to help
Me ev-e-ry once in a blue moon
Lately I’ve been really busy with school
And work negotiating a raise

Oh my, oh my, oh my
Oh my, oh my, oh my
Can’t you see
I’m overwhelmed

Oh, what the f--k ever
I have to study for my
Microeconomics test
And I’m failing the class

And then after that I
Have to take dear Fluffy to
The veterinarian
For her monthly check-up

Consider yourself lucky that I have
Not followed through and throttled you
Despite having threatened you many times
As I was nearing my boiling point

I’ve made us a chart during my spare time
Posted on the refrigerator
At eye-level so you can see it
That way you’ll give me one less excuse

Oh my, oh my, oh my
Oh my, oh my, I am
Tired of
Your excuses

Oh, what the f--k ever
You have yet to do something
About that toupee you’ve been
Sporting for many years

It’s falling off your head
And people stand on the street
Either staring or laughing
And it’s embarrassing

Oh my, oh my, oh my
Oh my, oh my, oh my
Did I just
Hear a loud belch

Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
I smell it from here
Get a mint
Or a Tic-Tac

Oh, what the f--k ever
You have absolutely no
Class and you have no manners
And you’re lazy as hell

Don’t mean to sound tacky
But I’m just being honest
I cannot let you go
The way you’ve been letting yourself go

Oh, what the f--k ever
You really think you have it
Bad, well listen to me, Bud,
I could not get a raise

In fact, I got fired
And I failed my econ test
I think I’m going gray
From all the stress you put me through
Working my way up...

Have you even heard the song??? Your pacing is all off and nothing rhymes. Please go to a lyrics site and get them right. Just look at the choris compared to yours: Whenever, wherever / We're meant to be together / I'll be there and you'll be near / And that's the deal my dear... you're nowhere near it.

Whatever, Whatever/You words don't go together/We'll be here, yes, right on AIR/If you go we don't care

@@person- WHO are you??? Apparently, YOU have never heard the song either!!! And my name is Alexander, not Rob! These lyrics have nothing in common with Shakira's OS. Or do I need to post the OS lyrics, Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous???

I'll give 3s for effort :)

Shakira Fan -- I not only go to lyrics sites, but I also go to YouTube videos to read the lyrics AND listen to the songs before I parody them. Perhaps you should listen to some parodies, as you don't see that parody lyrics don't have to be in common with the original lyrics. In fact, many parody lyrics are COMPLETELY different from the original songs from whence they came (although they make an effort to match the tune to the song, aka the pacing). Weird Al's work would be a great place to start. Simply Sam -- shouldn't it be "Whatever, whatever/YOUR words don't go together"? Rex -- I appreciate your kind vote.

I am a Shakira fan too, but NOT the earlier one here! I have written only a few parodies of her songs b/c they are complicated to me. But this parody is fine by me-555!!!
Rebekah Dub - November 03, 2011 - Report this comment
Thanks, Rob. Yeah, some of her songs are difficult to parody. I'd like to parody "Loca," but I'm afraid of screwing it up epically. Thanks also for the 555 vote! =)
