The longer I'm not snoozing
I'm dropping and losing
I'm running out of coffee again
Just this java I'm cooking up
I guess it wasn't good enough
But still I'm trying one more time...

Maybe I'm not drinking enough caffiene
When the sandman comes, I'm by the coffee machine

But I don't need no sleep, and I'm trying to keep,
Out of my bed, instead of getting slumber

Seems like each time
Nighttime falls I lose my mind
Because I'm chugging down coffee to stay awake
I'm not one to complain
Some times I just eat the coffee grains
Well some say it's time that I took a break

Maybe I'm staying up to late
But what if I sleep and never awake?

But I don't want no sleep, and I'm trying to keep
Out of that bed, instead of getting slumber
You say I need some sleep, nice and deep
"Just get in that bed", and get me some slumber,
Sleep there like the lumber
Get me some more slumber

I can't sit back and wonder why
I've had too much caffiene, my brain is fried
Got some NoDoz, I'll take it.
I love my coffee maker, I embrace it.
Sleeping, for me, isn't easy
But everybody keeps on tellin' me:

I guess I need some sleep, I've been trying to keep

I must get some sleep, so tired that I could weep
Flopped right into my bed, now I'm gettin' slumber
Underneath the covers

Sleep is now my best friend
