The Lyrics

My personal tribute to Tom Hanks, my favorite actor. If you don't know the original you most likely will. It's the most surefire hit in five years. It will ROCKET up the country charts. The inspiration hit me watching "A League of Their Own" with this song in my head. This may not be our last parody of this song. Mike has one in mind that could blow this out of the water.
It was just a wee bit past 8:40
with some watchin' time before me
then he came out stag'ring drunken on the screen.
I spent all of the next days
thinkin bout his great ways.
He's not just Jimmy Dugan, or Lovell on '13.
It all began to sink in, man, I hope his career won't end.
How's he do it? Awesome stuff is all I got... just when I thought...I say

He's been Greeeeeeeeeen Milin'.
He's been stranded on an island.
He made gold out of a movie with a police dog named Hooch.
And he'll chaaaaaaaase Leo.
And he's a hero
when he's Forrest Gump and I'm always cryin'.
And he's most inspir'ing when his squad and he, are Saving Private Ryan.

I say he was a wonderful Lawyer
through Philadelph'yas horror.
And he became a cartoon cowboy on a whim.
And he has played a good man dyin.
And he made it with Meg Ryan.
And she fell in love just by e-mailing him.
Well I, I'd rather read a good book than uh, take a good long hard look
at any movie except one that's starring Tom.....da bomb...

He's been Greeeeeeeeeen Milin'.
He's been stranded on an island.
He made gold out of a movie with a police dog named Hooch.
And he'll chase Leo.
And he's a hero
when he's Forrest Gump and I'm always cryin'.
And he's most inspir'ing when his squad and he, are Saving Private Ryan.

Darryl Hannah's love in Splash
man he's got eternity to live off all the residuals.
All of it's digital.
Road to Perditional.
great individual...

Greeeeeeeeeen Milin'.
He's been stranded on an island.
He made gold out of a movie with a police dog named Hooch.
There's The Money Pit.
And he's in Dragnet.
And he watched a wagon as it was flyin'.
And he rips my heart out each and every time, that he saves Private Ryan.
When he saves Private Ryan
He's Saving Private Ryan
Matt Damon's Private Ryan
He sure saves Private Ryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan
The pacing was more difficult than I had expected, but I'm pleased with this. It's another quality MA entry in my opinion.

I don't care what anyone else says; Tom Hanks's career peaked with "Bachelor Party." Lovely tribute, M&A.

(SOTM) There's a snake in ma boot! Enjoyable read and I was surprised at how many movies I was familiar with. I'd be happy if you did one on me in twenty years... *crickets chirping in the distance* 5-4-5

Another quality MA entry in my opinion too. And I don't care what Spaff says, after "Bosom Buddies" it was all downhill.

I don't care what Spaff and Claude say, his career peaked when he urinated during "A League of Their Own." Very good parody - the perditional line was my fave.

Had to read this one twice, 'cus the first time I was too busy laughing my head off at the corniness of the OS... but anyway, the parody - I don't watch movies, but I did recognize a lot of these references. Good job!
