The Lyrics

DKTOS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7Q_rRIu3ic (By the way: I got rid of their accents so the parody would be easier to read. I originally had it with their accents, but it looked bad)
(Tweety)
Now this Sylvester wants for me for his dinner
See him droolin’ as he stares at me
Mustard and buns set out ready for him to dine
But why eat poor little Tweety?
He sure is one mean ole puddy!

(Sylvester)
Just a bite!!!
Just a bite!!!!
Move ladder nearer now
Tweety you’re mine!
Just a bite!!!!

(Tweety)
I think that I saw that mean Puddy-Tat
Enters Granny and she looks so mad!
Granny will tan your hide…
Then toss your ass outside

(Sylvester)
Your existence is lunch for this Puddy-Tat
Served with beer you’ll taste good with my foam

(Tiptoeing piano music as Sylvester sneaks up to Tweety)

(Sylvester)
Just a bite!!!
Just a bite!!!
Catapult’s ready now
Your time to die!
Just a bite!!!

The fact that a cat can build this is satirical
Salt and Peppershakers are in his paws
He comes sailing towards you
Right into the wall flew

Pulls out blueprints to work out his hunger plan
Gets an order from business: Acme
A mace for clobbering
And clobbering he’ll embrace

A case of TNT
For cute Tweety on… his… plates!!!

(The same piano music as Sylvester sneaks up with a large mallet)

(Sylvester)
Lips are getting moist
Lips are getting moist
Lips are getting moist
Lips are getting moist

Just a bite!!!
Just a bite!!!

(Sylvester)
You’ll cook fine on my grill with some succotash
Munch on Cutie, cause I’m just a cat
Does that answer the why?
Gotta to put you on rye!

(Tweety)
You’ll persist though you can’t eat me Puddy-Tat
Cause when you do it is the end of our show
Unemployed!!!

You stepped up to the challenge and have succeeded! Glad to have read it now (and happy that I made a new Tubring fan!)

Hijinx, mayhem and anthropormorphism... if that ain't a recipe for fun (and fives), what is?!?

I'm wasn't sure who "Tub ring" was prior to this post, but figured I'd do a little You Tube search so I could get your parody (as an old fan of Looney Tune) Great job--and the "Just A Bite" was just perfect for the screaming spots.

Damn, Matthias...I should have pimped this instead of just challenging you! ;)

I read this imagining that Kelsey Grammer was the voice of Tweety to make him sound less irritating.

Better lyrics to this loony tune

Pretty good OS. Great job capturing the spirit of the cartoon (I'd forgotten about Granny). Some clever wordplay with "A mace for clobbering And clobbering he’ll embrace". Fitting ending. 5s, and that's all, folks.

SOTM - Clever ending, he'd really be unemployed if he eat him, better be yellow and chicken out...

Great

(SOTM) The ending was the best part. . .Pacing was magnificent, and despite my not caring terribly for the OS, you improved on it considerably. The screaming "Just A Bite" was a nice touch, and you stuck to the show's accent very well. Tweety and Selvester would be very proud.

For me the best bit was the "tiptoeing piano music" - it fit the mental image perfectly (and ISTM that it could easily have been the inspiration for the parody subject); other than that, I'm afraid it didn't really do it for me, Matthias.
Agrimorfee - October 26, 2007 - Report this comment
Phil: Many bands of this ilk (particularly Mr. Bungle) do credit Looney Tunes (Carl Stalling IS GOD!) as a big part of their musical inspirations.

(SOTM) - Never heard to OS before, but the pacing seemed right.

(SOTM) wow, that's an aggressive OS Matty, and it was amusing listening to it against the storyline - I knew there was a dark sinister side to Sylvester - liked the miracle/satirical sub too - 555

SOTM- I love any parody that incorporates popular cartoon characters. Very good job, Matthias. Love the ending - 'unemployed'. Funny stuff. I tawt I taw three fives.

(ABC4P) The best scene in a Sylvester/Tweety cartoon was one where Sylvester is trying to get to Tweety via tightrope stretched across the top of the city dog pound. Circus hyper-music is playing as Sylvester attempts to traverse the "pit of certain death" carrying an umbrella for balance. As it would be, the luckless feline slips and gravity does the rest. The best part was the imagination one had to use as the scene never panned to where Sylvester fell. Just a lot of really aggressive dog noise and dust. Liked what you did with this one - a definite improvement on the OS. And you really cannot go wrong with Looney Tunes - they are ageless.
Red Ant - April 06, 2008 - Report this comment
See above. Since you are recording now, lines like "Move ladder nearer now" aren't going to work when sung. If you do this one, sing "Move" as a cue note and "the" in its place. Then the grammar will be spot on and the pacing is still perfect.

Red Ant... You think some place is really going to create a Tub Ring backing track? I would like to find that!
Red Ant - April 06, 2008 - Report this comment
Probably not, but you never know. You can request them at some places, though the prices go up considerably (I would think a one-off request would be at least 40$)Musicalcreations.com had more Alice in Chains than everyone else combined, and one site I saw had a ton of musical backing tracks.

(ABC4) see above - good countering of the tone of the OS with the content of the parody matty - nice and catirical - being an Aussie though i wish the punching kangaroo had made an appearance

(ABC) I still stick to my original statement, very cute.

Once I listened to the OS I "got it". I can see this was carefully written.
Pitting this OS against our sweet cartoon friends we wonderful. And...you're right...just like so many relationships...they need each other.
