I'll say what the Japanese words mean, so you know.
"Ai-sh-iteru" is Japanese for "I love you" (pronounced eye-shtehr-oo) (they wouldn't let me say it un-hyphenated because the S word can be found in that Japanese word... WTF lolz)
"Yami" is "Darkness" just like "Hikari" is "Light"
"Kimi wa koto wasurenai yo" means "I won't forget you"
I found the same problem quoting Japanese as you mentioned. I get around it by omitting 'i', so 'sh'te, shimash'ta' etc.It only affects the comment and title box, not the body of the song, it seems. Sorry DKOS or theme, so can't offer comment on your work here.
